| I've
added a very quick 'work in progress' Video
of Darlington station, (+ surrounding area). This has been created
from a totally blank canvas, (as has all of my route). Much more work needs
to be done on it of course - this is just a very basic sneak preview.
I'll release more screenshots and/or videos whenever I get the chance. |

I've added a quick 'work in progress' Video of Newton Aycliffe station, (+ nearby golf club and surrounding area). There is no audio to this video, by the way - so don't think your speakers have died!. I'm
currently working on the main Darlington, (Bank Top) railway station,
as well as the surrounding townscape. This is totally being constructed
from scratch, and will contain loads of details to the tracks, (electrified),
station, streets, buildings, industrial estates, roads and car parks etc.
A couple of very basic 'work in progress' screenshots
have also been added to this site. (Please note that these are unfinished
and will have a massive amount of extra details added as soon as I get
the time). |

| I've
added a few more screenshots
to the site, (36 in fact). They are mainly of Newton Aycliffe station,
(and the surrounding town and nearby golf club etc.) I've also included
a few updated pics of Shildon station, which include new and more realistic
fencing, bridges, Locomotion Railway Museum and various other overall improvements. I finally managed to re-visit the area a few days ago, so got some up-to-date photos taken along the route. (This should help me to make everything slightly more realistic and accurate). |
| Just
a couple of new screenshots
added of the Bishop Auckland road bridge, (near the station) - I've now
made it as it should be; a metal structure rather than the old arched brick
bridge I had before. (Don't know why I did the arched version first - must
have been a brain-fade moment). Although I prefered the old version, I'm
trying to make everything as close to 'real-life' as possible. I'm making progress with the rest of the route - just had to go back and alter this bridge while it was fresh in my mind. |

| 3D
panoramic images now on the site. They can be accessed HERE,
or by the animated link on the screenshots
page. (These 'moveable' images allow you to scroll across and get full 360
degree views). |

| Videos
added of the Bishop Auckland and Shildon railway stations. |

| A
couple of new static 'panoramic/fisheye' screenshots
added of Bishop Auckland and Shildon stations. |
| 26-01-09 |
| More
screenshots
added, mainly showing the re-texturing of the station building, (so it's
a bit closer to the real thing), as well as a new road lay-out and car parks.
Also a few extra signs here and there. I've also re-done the station itself
- new platform and wall/fence re-positioning, so it's more authentic. These will probably be the last screenshots from the Shildon and Bishop Auckland areas - the next ones will be further up the line, probably Newton Aycliffe and Heighington. (Screenshots coming soon). |

| New
screenshots
with the white picket fences replaced with more authentic tubular metal
ones. |

| Another
22 screenshots
uploaded. Work continuing on the route. |

| More
work has been done on my route. (See screenshots
for up-to-date images). The original route, (which was shown in the earlier
videos and screenshots), was restarted several weeks ago. Now that I've
gained a bit more knowledge, the 'second version' should be a lot more accurate.
I've decided to rename them as 'version 1' and 'version 2'. Version 1 was actually completed quite a while ago, but I wasn't quite happy enough with some of the details, so I decided to start again from scratch, (including the Darlington area). I'm much happier with this second version and will get it done as soon as I possibly can - but please be patient - it may take a while. (v1 was a simple add-on to the existing Newcastle to York route, whereas v2 is totally created from a blank canvas). I've now divided the screenshots and videos on this site into two seperate sections. The older 'Version 1' is now essentially redundant ... the new 'version 2' is the one I'll be concentrating on from now on. |

| I've
uploaded a new 'Northern Spirit' re-skin for the Class158,
at the request of Jay at rs-trainsim. You can find it on my 'Downloads' page. Also two or three new images of this re-skin have been added to my screenshots page. |

| Sorry,
didn't get much time before Xmas to update this site. Hope everyone had
a nice time. Quite a bit of progress made on the 'station signs' front - a BIG thanks to Darandio for his help with this - very much appreciated. Progress on the route in general has slowed slightly over Xmas, but I'll plod on again as soon as possible. Watch this space! And, if we don't speak beforehand, I hope you all have a very Happy New Year. |

Two
new Class166 re-skins are available from my 'Downloads'

the meantime, work continues on my 'Bishop Auckland to Darlington' route. |

| Decided
to quickly construct this website to keep people informed about the Bishop
Auckland to Darlington route's progress. |
| 01-12-08 |
Work
still continuing with the route. It's a long, slow process - and I do need
to spend some time with the missus! Work commitments also need to
take precedence, of course. Rather than using the Darlington station and area on the existing 'Newcastle to York' route, I decided to re-create everything from scratch. |
| Late-Autumn 2008 |
| Started
work on the Bishop Auckland to Darlington route. Initially just for my own
personal use, I decided to share it with others once it's finished. Also did a re-skin of the Class166, which can be downloaded from this site on the 'Downloads' page. |
